The third Namibia Oil and Gas Conference (NOGC 2025) has launched an ambitious new initiative aimed at developing the country’s next generation of energy leaders.

The Future Generations Masterclass, a half-day programme set to debut at this year’s conference, is designed to inspire, empower and prepare young Namibians for meaningful careers in the oil and gas industry.
The programme, launched in partnership with the Namibia Youth Energy Forum, reflects the conference’s broader mission of building inclusive, sustainable pathways in the country’s rapidly evolving energy sector.
The conference will be held from 12 to 15 August in Windhoek under the theme: “From exploration to action – Positioning Namibia as the next energy frontier.”

The event is expected to attract a diverse range of global energy leaders, investors, innovators and policymakers.
According to the Economic Association of Namibia (EAN), the masterclass will offer students, graduates and early-career professionals a rare opportunity to explore career prospects, engage with seasoned industry leaders and acquire critical leadership and technical skills essential for success in Namibia’s energy landscape.

“As Namibia’s energy sector transforms, driven by recent offshore oil discoveries, technological advances and the global shift to cleaner energy, developing skilled local talent is more crucial than ever,” said Jason Kasuto, chairperson of the EAN.
“This platform will equip young professionals with the tools, knowledge and network needed to thrive,” Kasuto added.
The masterclass conference is divided into a session that will focus on fostering leadership and career growth, while another will look into mentorship and inspirational talks “Partnering with the Namibia Youth Energy Forum ensures we are not only inspiring the next generation, but equipping them with the right skills and networks to contribute meaningfully to Namibia’s energy journey.”
This year’s conference features expanded exhibition space to accommodate rising interest and will provide broader networking opportunities to promote collaboration, investment and sustainable growth.

The event is hosted by the EAN in collaboration with the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) and the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF), with strategic partnerships from the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor), Rhino Resources and SNC Incorporated.

It also holds official endorsement from the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
