On 21 July 2025, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah launched Namibia’s Sixth National Development Plan (NDP6), a blueprint that many are calling the country’s last and most decisive push toward realizing Vision 2030. Coming at a critical moment in Namibia’s democratic journey with a new administration and fresh cabinet appointments, NDP6 has been framed as a turning point.
The Bank of Namibia, jointly with the Ministry of Finance and the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA), recently, launched the Namibia Financial Sector Transformation Strategy (NFSTS) 2025–2035. Hugo Hahn and Monique du Plessis were crowned the 2025 Nedbank Namibian Mountain Bike XCC, XCO and Cross-Country Championships, after two days of fierce competition at the Towerbos Trails, recently.
The event was organised by the Namibia Cycling Federation (NCF). Hahn produced a dominant performance in the cross-country olympic (XCO) to win the elite men’s title by coming home in a time of 01:21:27, followed by Martin Freyer, who clocked 01:26:55 and Theuns van der Westhuizen in third place after ending on 01:31:40.
