20 murder cases recorded in eight weeks

…as 13 more escape death

AT least 20 people were murdered in Namibia since November 2020 to date, the latest crime statistics from the police show.

According to statistics provided by Inspector General of the Namibian Police Force, Sebastian Ndeitunga, between January and November 2019, 292 murders were recorded while 276 were recorded between January and November 2020, indicating a slight decrease of 16 cases.

According to the report 20 murder cases were recorded within two months.

Khomas has recorded the highest number with seven cases while Erongo follows with four within a period of seven weeks.
