2019 FNB Whisky Festival launched

By Confidente Reporter

FNB Namibia last weekend launched its annual Whisky Festival, taking place on Saturday, 27 July 2019 at the Windhoek Country Club.

The Whisky Festival is a platform to educate the Namibian public about whisky through expert exhibitors and brand ambassadors, opening up the category to whisky consumers of all levels. The introduction of the Apple Store this year further adds to the Festival’s experience and lifestyle concept, making whisky more accessible.

This year’s brand ambassadors come from different drinks companies such as Jura, Dalmore, Shackleton, Johnny Walker, Douglas Lain Co, Paul John single malts, Suntory Beam, Pocket Scotch, IIse of Rassay, Glen Grant and Chives Regal – but what they share in common is their passion to engage, educate and excite consumers about the whisky category as a whole.

Nangula Kauluma, FNB Executive Retail Banking: “The Whisky Festival is one of our favourite celebrations at FNB, providing a great opportunity to showcase this wonderful spirit in a fun and engaging way to whisky connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike. We are delighted to work with some of the best whisky makers in the world to bring this Festival to life again this year”.

This year FNB will be taking the annual Whisky Festival to the next level with the addition of a Cigar lounge, Deluxe Coffee stop and a Whisky Shop, in celebration of all things whisky. Craft beer (Camelthorn), Gin stands, as well as MCC’s such as Noble Hill Blanc de Blanc, Christine Marie, Hoopenburg Blce de Noir Sparkling, and Integer will also be available for those who are not whisky drinkers.

Once again visitors to the Whisky Festival are encouraged to drop their business card when entering, to stand a chance to win a tour of James Sedgwick Distillery in Wellington, two return Economy class Airfare tickets, two nights’ accommodation at a bed & breakfast B&B in Stellenbosch and airport transfers for two.

Tickets are available at Computicket for N$ 180 or at the door for N$ 200.
