52 and chasing a primary school certificate

THE adage age is nothing but a number is true to the Kunene Region where 52-year-old, Alfred Horaseb is in grade three at Tabitha Centre in Outjo, pursuing his long lost desire for education.

So determined is Horaseb to achieve this dream that he is not letting anything stand between him and his schooling.

This might sound like an inspirational line from a movie, but it is indeed happening in Kunene region where Horaseb resides.

“It feels very good to be at school at my age because there is a future when one has formal schooling.

It is difficult outside to secure a bright future when one has no education.

This is absolutely necessary for me to obtain an education in order to move forward and have a better future.
