62 murdered by guns in 24 months

THE Namibian police recorded 62 murders committed with firearms between 2019 and 2021, with the highest number of murders recorded in the Khomas region.
This is according to statistics released to Confidente by Police Inspector General Sebastian Ndeitunga.

According to the statistics, Khomas recorded the most with 25 murders committed between 2019 and 2020.

Omaheke region maintained a clean record in this regard with no murders committed with firearms in both years.

Erongo, Hardap, //Karas and Ohangwena each registered one case in the two years.
