Access to technology solution a basic necessity: Dr Mushelenga

• By Martha Nangombe

COMMUNICATION Technology Minister Dr Peya Mushelenga Namibia has to improve communication technologies in specific areas such as mobile app development, e-commerce policies, mobile broadband internet traffic, and income inequality, all of which are critical in driving future growth and development.

Dr Mushelenga made these remarks at the launch of PowerCom’s N$965,815 Goreangab Lattice tower.

Access to communication technology solutions, according to Dr. Mushelenga, should be a basic necessity rather than a luxury for all Namibians.

“Our regulatory bodies work hard to provide low-cost communication solutions while protecting consumers from high prices. We prioritise ensuring customer satisfaction and timely access to information and encouraging active engagement while maintaining quality,” he said.
