Sponsored by OTB Namibia, Switch Energy Drink Namibia, and Architectural Outlet, the league marks the pinnacle of beach volleyball in the country, providing opportunities for specialised beach volleyball players, part-time enthusiasts, and even indoor volleyball players making the transition to the beach.

Afrocat Sports Club Beach Volleyball also offers a social category, encouraging everyone to have fun and dive into the sandy arena.

According to Central Volleyball Association Chairperson (CVA) Dorothy Nambahu, the Afrocat Sports Club Beach Volleyball League allows lesser-known players to compete against the best players in the country, particularly national team players.

“In Katutura, the ongoing Afrocat SC BVB league bridges the gap between beach and indoor players. We see people from many clubs and backgrounds participating, and this effort is a step in the right way.

In addition, it raises the overall standard of play in the country. Less experienced players can compete alongside national team players, allowing them to test their abilities against well-known opponents,” she said.
