AG, Cabinet secretary to testify in Hollard, Gondwana fight

THE ongoing battle between Gondwana Collection Namibia and Hollard Insurance involving a dispute over an insurance claim has dragged the Attorney General and the secretary to Cabinet to testify in court on the declaration of the State of Emergency National Disaster, Covid-19.

Gondwana and Hollard last year subpoenaed the AG Festus Mbandeka and George Simataa to provide Cabinet minutes and documents which they say are vital to the insurance claim case.

However both Mbandeka and Simataa had applied to have the subpoenas set aside stating that most of the documents that were requested are confidential.
