THE lifting on the ban of alcohol done in stage three of the State of Emergency has regressed the fight against Covid-19 with state hospitals battling to cope with the influx of patients brought in by alcohol related incidents.
Katutura Hospital experiences heavy inflow of patients particularly on weekends, with the majority of the cases being stabbings, gender based violence and accidents – all related to alcohol consumption.
