All-African Games participants revealed

TEAM Namibia has announced athletes to represent the country at the upcoming rescheduled All-African Games.
The team comprises some of the country’s best athletes in various codes who will be vying for medals at the continental multi-sport event, which will be held in three cities, Accra, Kumasi, and Cape Coast, Ghana, from March 8 to 23.
However, Olympic silver medalist Christine Mboma will not compete in the competition because she is yet to be officially cleared by World Athletics, despite having her six-month ban from international athletics for high testosterone ended in September of last year.
The same is true for South African sprinter Beatrice Masilingi.
Initially scheduled for August last year, the games were moved due to an impasse over marketing rights involving the African Union (AU), the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (Anoca), and the Association of African Sports Confederations (AASC), the competition’s major stakeholders.
