All set for Fencing Open Tournament

• By Michael Uugwanga

EVERYTHING is in place for the Windhoek Fencing Club (WFC) Open tournament at Wanderers Sports Club at Pioneers Park to be held on July 8.

The tournament, one of the biggest on the fencing calendar,  is set to bring fencers from all over the country who will demonstrate their skills, with fencers such as Varivo Ndjavera, Dillon Kotzé, and Ewan van Heerden, to name a few, expected to compete.

Two Open competitions winner Ndjavera will be attempting to win her third consecutive WFC Open title, a feat no fencer in the competition’s history has accomplished.

Dillon Kotzé, the owner of Windhoek Fencing Club, told Confidente ahead of the competition that fencers of various age groups will headline the competition, vying for top honours and ratings.
