At least 64 million litres of alcohol seized

A PPROXIMATELY 3.5 million litres of alcohol with an estimated value of N$64 million were seized by customs officials over the last 36 months, Confidente can reveal.
The alcohol now stored at the state warehouses in Windhoek, one in Northern Industry and another in Prosperita, consists of illegal spirits and counterfeit whiskeys among others that have for years been smuggled onto Namibian shores.
Coupled with this, are 412 kilograms of cocaine valued at N$206 million.
