Benjamin goes for Kindergartens ahead of World Cup, COSAFA

BRAVE Warriors coach Collin Benjamin has called up eight youngsters for his Brave Warriors squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Cup later this month.

The Brave Warriors will play Liberia in June and Tunisia on 11 June in match days three and four, respectively, of the World Cup qualifier and the COSAFA Cup in mid-June. Benjamin has included the eight players who participated in the Nedbank Namibian
Newspaper Cup, which was held in Gobabis, Omaheke Region, over the Easter Weekend.

The eight youngsters who have never played football at the highest level are Brango Rukoro from the Omaheke Region, Rupura Tjambeni of Omusati region (goalkeepers), Marek Kapuro of Kavango East Region, Namayobona Matengu from Zambezi Region (defenders), Mbamba Magameno from Kavango East Region, Zuse Mutafela of Zambezi Region, Maurizio January from Erongo, and Punaje Katjimune from Omaheke (midfielders).
