Bolt launches pilot-hailing service in Namibia

• By  Confidente Reporter

Bolt, a leading mobility platform across Europe and Africa, introduces a pilot ride-hailing service in Namibia, further expanding its footprint in Southern Africa.

With a successful track record in Europe and existing African markets, Bolt’s entry into the Namibian market marks a significant milestone in the company’s Southern African expansion strategy.  Bolt will launch in Namibia with over 200 drivers onboard and zero commissions for the next six months.

Bolt is a free mobile application that connects drivers and customers. Bolt allows customers to conveniently request a driver to pick them up wherever they are and take them where they want to go quickly and reasonably cheaply.

Drivers registered to the platform can earn money by accepting hire services through the application. To become a partner Bolt driver, a person must have a car or motorbike and all necessary licenses required by local regulations. Bolt also benefits the broader community.
