CalgroKuumba challenges Amushelelo

CalgroKuumba Planning and Design (Pty) Ltd has filed an urgent application against Namibia Economic Freedom Fighter (NEEF) and Michael Amushelelo, seeking an order to halt the illegal possession of houses in Windhoek.

This come after over 5000 people registered with the NEFF and Amushelelo to be assigned a vacant house on the site developed for the Mass Housing Development Programme.

The City of Windhoek provided the site at Otjomuise on which CalgroKuumba constructed 362 dwellings earmarked for eventual allotment as part of the Mass Housing Programme in 2014.

On February 6, Amushelelo posted on Instagram, inviting members of the public, that NEFF will take over the vacant houses at the property that were built for the Mass Housing Development Programme on February 29 if the government does not respond to them by February 28 with a solid plan to address the housing and land crisis.
