THE Capricorn Foundation is on a mission to provide much-needed food assistance to vulnerable communities and has committed N$ 504,000 to the Gondwana Care Trust – MealForTwo project for 300,000 meals and the installation of self-sufficiency gardens for beneficiaries.
Capricorn Foundation Coordinator Vivipara Muukua highlighted the Foundation’s commitment to social investments.
“I recently had the opportunity to visit the Lighthouse Community of Hope in Katutura, one of the MealForTwo project beneficiaries. The centre assists about 30 learners as part of their afternoon programme and is where the organisation’s first greenhouse was erected. This track record demonstrates Gondwana’s dedication to social investment and community support, which coincides with the Capricorn Foundation’s vulnerability target areas and mission to be a Connector of Positive Change in our communities,” Muukua added.
Since its inception in 2019, the MealForTwo project, a flagship effort of the Gondwana Care Trust, has donated 815,000 meals in collaboration with Bank Windhoek.
