China-Nam beyond the viva-viva politics – Ndjebela

ON May 26, the 8th week-long China-Africa Youth Festival concluded in Yiwu Village in the Zhejiang Province.

Focusing on the long-lasting and developing friendship between China and Africa and calling for the next one to be held in Africa. As a prelude to the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), the festival brought together 68 young representatives from 52 African nations.

The festival’s theme, “What Can I Do for China-Africa Friendship,” encouraged young leaders to proactively strengthen China-Africa relations. Among the participants was Namibia’s representative, Toivo Ndjebela, Editor-in-Chief of the Namibian Sun, who shared his reflections on China-Namibia relations at the event’s closing ceremony.

Ndjebela emphasized the historical bonds between China and Namibia. Ndjebela says that the relationship between China and Namibia must go beyond the viva-viva politics.
