Road crashes cost Namibia N$1.3b annually

WITH the country gripped with a high number of motor crashes, it is estimated that the total cost of road accidents in Namibia is equal to more than N$1.34 billion per annum.

A report by the Ministry of Works and Transport this week revealed that this estimated amount includes the administration work involved in processing accidents and claims, vehicle repair and salvage activities, as well as medical, heath and other services that occur to help persons and families affected by road accidents.
