City coalition faces collapse

…as Councillors rebut Amupanda’s mayoral plan

JUST a little over six months into a new City of Windhoek (CoW) council, a coalition agreement by different political parties -yet to be signed- is on the verge of collapse with allegations of ultimatums, purging and giving up on the mayoral plan having taken centre stage in the affairs of the capital, Confidente has learnt.
The Windhoek coalition was formed between AR with two seats, the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC), with four seats, the Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) and National Unity Democratic Organisation (Nudo), which won one seat each.
