City top job up for public scrutiny

RESIDENTS of the City of Windhoek will soon have a say in the appointment of the capital’s chief executive officer (CEO), this if a recent move by the council’s management committee (MC) is anything to go by.
Making his opening remarks during the opening of a monthly council meeting at the townhouse’s Council Chambers on Wednesday last week, Windhoek mayor Dr Job Amupanda revealed that the recruitment of the city’s top administrator will be preceded by a public engagement element which will see the shortlisted applicants articulating their vision for the city and its soaring population.
