Coetzee happy with South America tour ahead of Bulls challenge

Namibia senior rugby team coach, Allister Coetzee, says he is satisfied with the team’s performance at the recently conducted World Rugby Nations Cup tournament in Uruguay.

The competition was part of the country’s preparations for this year’s Rugby World Cup slated for next month in France.

Namibia played against Uruguay, Argentina XI, and Chile during the tournament. It won the Chile match 28-26 in a nail-biting encounter that might have gone either way after Chile led Namibia 19-7 in the first half.

This Saturday, the World Cup-bound squad will face South Africa’s franchise side, the Vodacom Blue Bulls, at Windhoek High School Vegkop Stadium in Windhoek, not at the usual Hage Geingob Stadium, which will be hosting Heroes Day celebrations.
