Confusion over N$1 billion Ondangwa hospital

THE once envisaged billion dollar health project in Oshana was once again brought in the spotlight, with some politicians in Ondangwa town asking why the health ministry is delaying on the massive project.

The project, a referral hospital which government planned to build in Oshana region, is expected to boost the local economy and expedite infrastructural development of the town, local politicians and residents say.

However, the politicians are worried that government is dragging its feet on commencement of the project, which has led to some politicians in the town accusing top health officials of attempting to wrest the project from Ondangwa to other places.
