Cop allegedly assaults woman for being albino

A police officer in the Ohangwena region, Jonas Amunyela (55) will be prosecuted for allegedly assaulting Paulina Kapofi, a woman living with albinism because of her condition when he caught her walking with his wife.

It was a hot afternoon on 24 February when Kapofi, who lives with albinism, got the shock of her life when she was reportedly physically assaulted by Amunyela, a cop stationed at Omufitu waNakashole police station in the Ohangwena region.

She was allegedly assaulted for her condition.
