Covid-19 vaccination certificates a reality soon

THE Ministry of Health and Social Services will soon begin issuing Covid-19 digital vaccination certificates to fully vaccinated individuals.

This notification comes in the wake of South Africa announcing this week that travellers to that country are required to present digital Covid-19 vaccination certificates for entry. An amendment bill was passed in the South African Parliament recently which indicates that Covid-19 vaccination cards will no longer be accepted.

“The ministry has taken note of the Covid-19 regulations. This public notice serves to inform that the Ministry of Health and Social Services will soon operationalise the issuance of Covid-19 digital vaccination certificates,” ministry executive director Ben Nangombe said in the statement.
