Cricket outbreak worries Omusati governor

THE outbreak of the crop ravaging corn cricket in the Omusati region has the regional leadership worried. This is according to Omusati regional governor Erginus Endjala during an interview with Confidente this week.

Endjala stressed that the outbreak of the pests in the region will downscale progress made in food production.

“I am aware of the presence of the corn cricket in the region. The insects are going to affect food production in the region if not contained or controlled at an early stage like now,” he said.
