Dj Yessonia set for Rick Ross showdown

FRESH from her breath-taking performance at the Koffie Olomide show, rising star Dj Yessonia is lined up to perform alongside American Hip Hop icon, Rick Ross at a concert set for November 18 in Harare dubbed the Red Carpet Show.

Yessionia proved her set skill at the Olemide concert as she was one of the local artist to give a performance worth mentioning together with King Tee Dee just to name but a few.

In Harare, Yessonia will join, South African rapper Nasty C and a host of Zimbabwean artists such as Holy 10 and Takura.

“What’s exciting about this event is, it is regional.

We have people from Zambia, South Africa and Namibia among other countries who are also buying the tickets.

This is not just a Zimbabwean event.

It is like a Southern Africa event which is quite exciting and yes, Namibian turntable sensation Dj Yessonia will perform at the show,” said Ms Shally spokesperson of the ROAR Entertainment Africa, the company behind Rick Ross’ show.

Dj Yessonia has been dominating local charts with her song Happy featuring at number 1 on Shipi Fm’s top 20 charts last weekend.

Born Sonia Shalukeni, DJ Yessonia continues to raise the Namibian flag on the regional entertainment scene where she has rubbed shoulders with some well-known artists, such as Democratic Republic of Congo’s Awilo Longomba.

Yessonia is booked to perform on the first Amapiano Luxury Cruise next year in March, where she will rub shoulders with Cassper Nyovest, Somizi, Boohle and Murumba Pitch.
