Double murder suspect ex-soldier has a strong history of violence

Double murder suspect Simon Kandume, is a former soldier with a history of violence after he was discharged from the Namibian Defence Force after he exchanged fire with fellow soldiers in an army canteen at Katima Mulilo military base.

His neighbour, Maria Shikele said although Kandume was hard working,  “quite and a reserved person,” he has a history of violence in his previous career.

Shikele  said Kandume was possessive and would assault his girlfriend on numerous occasions without a reason.

He was unceremoniously discharged from military service about a decade ago after he was involved in a shooting incident involving fellow soldiers at in an army canteen at a base in Katima Mulilo where he was stationed.
