DUNDEE Precious Metals Tsumeb has extended its support to primary schools in Tsumeb and the surrounding areas by donating antibacterial soap to the value of N$53 200.

Vice president and managing director of Dundee Precious Metals Tsumeb, Zebra Kasete officially handed over the donation to the schools’ heads of departments last Friday at the company’s Information Centre.

Practising social distancing, avoiding non-essential travel or visits, wearing a mask, continuously washing your hands, and keeping them clean all the time, are critical actions that will ensure we do not contract or spread the Covid-19 virus, said Kasete.

He further emphasised that Covid-19 has brought about vast professional and business opportunities in the country that will contribute to economic development and encouraged teachers who are in the science fields to collaborate and come up with innovative ways to produce soap.

Rochelle Nanunes, a teacher from Ludwigshafen Primary School thanked the company for the generous donation and for always thinking about the children and teachers in the community.

“We will surely put the soap to good use and start off the year safely,” she said.
