E-Parliament hits a snag

… as N$5.8 million goes down the drain

THE prevalent Covid-19 pandemic is exposing the National Assembly’s inadequacy, in adjusting to the new normalcy this despite the NA having spent about N$5.8 million on the hype up for the e-parliament project.

Confidente has learned that as a result of the pandemic, the first sessions of the august house came to an end with parliament only having passed one piece of legislation – the Appropriation Bill.

This newspaper is reliably informed that the National Assembly went into session with six bills set for debate and subsequent enactment.
