Fatal accident haunts Swapo

THE ghost of a two-year-old toddler who was fatally injured by a Swapo campaign vehicle late last month, continues to haunt the ruling party – one month after the minor’s untimely demise – as opposition political parties are taking issue with the ruling party’s assertion that the matter was only handled ‘traditionally’ with the family of the deceased. 

The victim, who was reportedly identified as Sibalatani Kwenani, succumbed to injuries sustained during the accident, shortly after being taken to Katima Mulilo State Hospital. The accident happened during the August by-election campaigns in Katima Mulilo.

Confidente has learnt that the driver of the vehicle, who cannot be named because he is yet to appear in court, was exonerated of all guilt, subject to an eyewitness account, the victim was pushed into the oncoming vehicle by another minor.
