Final extension for Fishcor board

… as new substantive is expected in a month

PUBLIC enterprises minister Leon Jooste has said that the selection process for a new Fishing Corporation of Namibia (Fishcor) board of directors is near completion and is expected to be announced in a month which has forced the ministry to extend the term of the current temporary board.

In June, Jooste extended the term of office of the four temporary members of the Fishcor board for another three months to September 6, pending the recruitment of a new board, after their previous term ended on June 7.
