FINLAND’S Deputy Head of Mission, Matti Karvanen says a substantial Finnish delegation will attend the tenth Mining Expo to explore trade and cooperation prospects in Namibia’s mining sector.

As one of Africa’s biggest mining countries and a key exporter of uranium, gold, zinc, and high-quality diamonds, Namibia’s Mining Expo, slated for August 30-31, is expected to attract several international mining exhibitors.

The two-day Mining Expo, themed on Namibia’s role in the sustainable supply of minerals to enable the global energy transition, will feature over 500 exhibitors.

President Hage Geingob will officially launch the tenth Mining Expo and Conference at the Windhoek Showgrounds on August 30.
