FNB National Basketball 5 X 5 league concludes …new season to start in April

The FNB 5-on-5 national basketball competition concluded this past weekend at Windhoek’s University of Namibia (UNAM) Main Campus basketball court.

Khomas Elite won first place in the male category, while Khomas Warriors won the female division.

The FNB 5-on-5 national basketball competition was launched last year to expand the sport across the country. It is the result of a three-year cooperation between the Namibia Basketball Federation (NBF) and First National Bank (FNB). Meanwhile, Oshana Leopards finished second in the men’s division, while Oshana Queens finished second in the female category.

Kavango Krocs finished third in the men’s division, while Otjozondjupa Sonics placed third in the women’s division. Khomas Elite won N$ 12,000 in prize money and medals, while Khomas Warriors also collected N$ 12,000 and medals.
