FNB refuses to be drawn into Kudus forfeit match squabble

• By Michael Uugwanga

FOLLOWING First National Bank (FNB) Kudus’ decision not to play their semi-final match away to FNB Rehoboth Rugby Club a few weeks ago due to financial constraints, FNB, the primary funder for seven of the eight clubs in Namibia Rugby Premier League (NRPL), has refused to be drawn into the aftermath.

United Rugby Club, which TRUSTCO funds, is the only team FNB does not sponsor.

FNB stated that it respects how the Namibia Rugby Union (NRU) runs the rugby league, despite Kudus failing to honour their match due to financial concerns.
