  By Michael Uugwanga

FOUR young tennis players, Lesedi Jacobs, Megan Lombardt, Leandre Louw, and Joanivia Bezuidenhout, will compete in the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup Africa Group III next month.

Kenya won the bid to host the tournament after outbidding Burundi in the bidding process last year.

The winning country will gain promotion to Billie Jean King Cup Europe/Africa Group II next year.

Namibia Tennis Association (NTA) President Samson Kaulinge confirmed the news about Namibia’s participation in the Billie Jean King Cup Africa III. Kaulinge explained why the four players were chosen ahead of other players and the support the association is giving to the players ahead of the tournament.
