Fourth Sustainable Development Awards launched

THE Environmental Investment Fund (EIF), in collaboration with the Sustainable Development Advisory Council (SDAC) and the Environment Ministry has introduced the fourth Sustainable Development Awards.

The awards were launched to recognise the importance of incorporating sustainability into the core of business and the daily lives of all Namibians.

The Awards recognised and acknowledged outstanding individuals and institutions for their contributions to sustainable development.

This year’s awards focus on the private sector and Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs), community-level natural resource management and utilisation initiatives, research and development, youth action for sustainable development, pioneering journalism in the field of sustainable development, green banks, schools in action for sustainable development, women in action for sustainable development, artists action for sustainable development, sustainable mining and exploration activities, and thought leaders.

Furthermore, individuals, organisations, corporations, companies, and community groups are encouraged to submit applications in their respective categories.
