FORMERLY known as “The Dogg’s backup dancer” Lisias Lukolo also known as Drako has turned his talents to music and released his first EP titled ‘Drako Scopio’ recently.

In an interview with Confidente, the upcoming singer on the rise said he has always wanted to explore music in different ways and releasing his nine track EP couldn’t be a better way to debut his musical career. After his contract ended last year with Omshasho record, Drako said he started working on his EP recording music day and night.

“When l was in Grade 8, I was very much obsessed with going to shows and see the Dogg perform, he was my role model and my inspiration, sometimes I wished I could just to say hi but it was impossible at that time, and one day I found myself dancing for him,” he said.

According to the singer, his breakthrough in music only came when he was offered a contract by Omshasho and he has never looked back ever since.

“After I was offered an opportunity to dance for one of the biggest musicians in the country, l have performed with him for four years and I would say that there was never a show that l have missed since the day that l started my career with him. I have gained so much fellowship through him and l am glad to say that he also taught me confidence, “stated Drako.

He said he is now ready to take the music world by storm as an independent artist and has put dancing in the past.

“On my EP I featured talented upcoming musicians, such as ‘Omkolo’ hit maker Slime and it is already available for download on Audio Mack. I was fortunate to get help assistance from artists like King Elegant. And I have also shared a stage with many other acts as well.  Regardless of what might happen in the future I will continue to push my brand for now,” he added.

Now that the EP is out of the way, he said he plans to expand his music career by dropping more songs before the end of the year. “My mom has been my biggest fan and I would want to make her very proud one day, and I also have a lovely daughter who I want to be proud of me as well,” he said.
