From Dream to Reality: A Journey of a Radiographer

• By Allexer Namundjembo

Goodman Uupindi, who recently graduated with an Honours Degree in Radiography from the University of Namibia, has opened up to share his tough journey of becoming a Radiographer, graduating as an Upper Second-Class graduate.

Goodman was born and raised in Omuthiya, in the Oshikoto region. He has proven it possible for a black child to achieve his dream despite being raised by a single parent.

“My Academic life was filled with a lot of challenges. While in grade 7, my mother sadly passed on, which wasn’t easy at all. I was raised by a single parent who made sure that I achieved my dream,” says Uupindi.

Uupindi further said that since he was in Grade 7 when his mother passed on, he had to find a placement for his grade 8. His father, a cross-border truck driver, resigned from his job to care for his family.
