From self-taught cameraman to internally acclaimed: Zaire living the dream

His production company, Reggie Films, is highly regarded in the creative industry, but the man behind the brand says creativity alone is insufficient for success. He encouraged artists to commercialise their creativity correctly.

Renowned for his groundbreaking work, this Namibian content producer is elevating the craft of filmmaking to new heights, leaving an indelible stamp on the industry and altering Namibian storytelling. Zaire’s work continues to attract audiences worldwide, thanks to his diverse portfolio of projects and working relationships with prominent clients.

Zaire’s foray into filmmaking began in 2014 with the formation of Reggie Film Crew (RFC).

With only a cellphone camera, he made his first short film, ‘Namibian Hijackers,’ which, despite its mediocre quality, piqued his interest in filmmaking. Zaire, who self-taught himself video editing and directing using online tools such as YouTube, quickly polished his talents while studying architecture.
