Gobabis horse racing hits the track

The most anticipated Gobabis summer derby horse racing competition was on track on Saturday last week.
Debmarine sponsored the event with a global budget of N$ 250,000 for horses and jockeys, which increased to N$ 600,000 when hidden costs were included.

Anna Ikela, Debmarine’s senior communication officer, was pleased with the event’s outcome and appreciated all horse racing lovers and enthusiasts for showing up in great numbers.

“The event was a success; congratulations to Aminuis Racing for pulling off such a spectacular event; they deserve sponsorship; they are an investment worth supporting,” Ikela said.
Debmarine is a marine diamond prospecting and mining company, a joint venture owned equally in shares by the Government of the Republic of Namibia and De Beers.
