Gunners to walk away N$ 120 000 richer..Promises to crash NCS in last league match to preserve unbeaten record

OTJIWARONGO-based netball club, Mighty Gunners will receive N$120  000 in prize money for winning the 2022 MTC/Namibia Netball Premier League (NNPL) title before their final league match against outgoing champions, Namibia Correctional Services (NCS) on October08.

Second placed team walks away with N$80  000 while third place team takes home N$60 000.

Last season, NCS won the title ahead of second placed Gunners on goal difference, but this time around Gunners have won the title on points ahead of current second placed Namibian Navy.

Gunners have 42 points from 21 league matches, followed by Namibian Navy on 34 points and third placed team NCS on 33 points from 20 matches.

Tigerswho were third last season are in fourth place on 30 points from 20 league matches.

The bottom four teams will be relegated, with Northern Fly Ballers occupying the last position with three points from 21 matches, Grootfontein are second from bottom on six points, the same number of points as third p

From bottom side Blue Waters on six points and Young Stars on 11 points, just a points below Eleven Arrows who have 12 points.

Otjozondjupa NamPol are fifth on the table with 25 points, Rebels in sixth place on 24 points then Afrocat Lions with 20 points.
