Handball workshop set for Oshakati next month

THE Namibia Handball Federation (NHF) will hold a regional handball management development workshop in Oshakati from February 29 to March 3 as part of the federation’s objectives to grow the sport across all 14 regions.

Handball was reintroduced in Namibia approximately three years ago following years of inaction and is now officially listed as one of the country’s codes with the Namibia Sports Commission (NSC), Namibia School Sports Union (NSSU), and the Namibia National Olympic Committee.

NHF is a non-profit sports organisation founded on November 26, 2021, to unite the public through the game of handball and promote all kinds of handball in the country.

The NHF is a member of the African Handball Confederation (AHC) and the International Handball Federation (IHF). Last year in Keetmanshoop, the NHF staged a successful regional tournament, which was contested by various regions.
