Helao Nafidi mayor defends CEO’s appointment

HELAO Nafidi mayor Darius Shaalukeni said there is nothing sinister about the re-appointment of chief executive officer Inge Ipinge.

Ipinge (66) was given a five-year contract extension after her term ended at the beginning of this month. Her re-appointment was met with criticism from some quarters with some people saying she is old and thus should not have been given another term. However, Shaalukeni said the CEO was procedurally re-appointed and no law was bypassed.
