The Erongo Business and Tourism Expo is set to return for its 17th edition, running from October 28 to November 1 at the Walvis Bay Municipality Civic Centre. The much-anticipated event has established itself as one of the region’s key platforms for showcasing business, tourism, and community development, attracting both local and national attention.
For the first time, the expo will adopt a five-day format, extending opportunities for exhibitors and visitors alike. Organisers have structured the programme to include a mix of business-driven engagements and family-friendly entertainment, making the event both an economic and social highlight on the Namibian calendar.
A variety of activities will be on offer, ranging from interactive games and live entertainment to guided tours that showcase the potential of Walvis Bay’s maritime sector. Visitors will be able to enjoy the Namport Guided Harbour Tours as well as Lady Victoria Adventure Boat Rides, which bring the blue economy theme to life by highlighting the region’s port and ocean-based opportunities.
Music and performance will play a central role throughout the expo. The programme includes an ‘80s Show hosted by Blue Whale Events, promising an evening of nostalgia through music and performance. Adding to the excitement is the Miss Erongo Expo, also hosted by Blue Whale Events, which will bring glamour and style to the week’s activities.
The Street Parade remains one of the event’s signature features, drawing large crowds and showcasing the colour, culture, and creativity of the community. With participants from across the region, the parade is expected to once again create an atmosphere of vibrancy and pride in Erongo’s identity.
Beyond entertainment, the expo continues to serve as a hub for economic engagement. Business-to-Business sessions will provide entrepreneurs, start-ups, and established corporations with a platform to connect, exchange ideas, and explore partnerships. Networking opportunities remain a cornerstone of the event, designed to foster growth, collaboration, and innovation across multiple sectors.
Exhibitors will benefit from a highly visible space to market products and services, while visitors can discover new businesses, technologies, and investment opportunities. Prize giveaways and competitions will add further incentive for participation, ensuring both excitement and engagement throughout the five days.
Over the years, the Erongo Business and Tourism Expo has grown into a regional brand, widely recognised as a space where business and community meet. Its contribution to tourism promotion, enterprise development, and employment creation underscores its broader importance in Namibia’s economic landscape.
The expo enjoys strong backing from major organisations, including Erongo Red, Erongo Regional Council, and Coca-Cola Erongo, whose support continues to ensure the event’s success and long-standing presence in the Erongo calendar.
With its dynamic blend of commerce, tourism, culture, and entertainment, the 17th Erongo Business and Tourism Expo is expected to once again leave a lasting mark. It offers a space where innovation meets opportunity and where the region’s diversity and potential are placed firmly in the spotlight.
