International beach volleyball frenzy hits the country

• By Staff Reporter

THE Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Zone VI beach volleyball tour will begin its 2024 season with the first leg hosted in Namibia. The event will be held at the DTS beach volleyball courts at Olympic, Windhoek, from April 4 to April 7.

This leg is the first of a series of tournaments around the Zone, with nations such as Mozambique, Malawi, and South Africa expected to host subsequent rounds. Namibia, which hosted the same leg last year over Easter weekend at Mole Beach in Swakopmund, is again preparing to welcome beach volleyball teams from around the region.

Teams from Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Angola have already confirmed their attendance at this fascinating tournament.
