THE Okahandja Town Council has come under fire for alleged irregularities, in the manner in which land is being sold at the town – with claims of abuse of power, nepotism as well as elitism rearing their ugly heads.

In a damning letter to the council this week, the chairperson of the Promised Land Residents Association (PLARA), Johannes /Gerub /Gaseb did not hide his frustrations when he demanded for amongst others, the removal of some members of the town’s Land Delivery Committee from serving, citing their alleged ‘abuse of position of trust’.
