‘It hurts’: Family seeks justice over murdered son

CLOSE to 50 family members of 38-year-old Reece Carlos Zimmer who was shot in the head and died on the spot in Khomasdal while waiting for a taxi on December 26, is struggling to come to grips with the loss of their son whom they said was the breadwinner of the family.

Zimmer left three children, 14, six and the younger one who is 16 months old who will be raised without a father.

The family members on Monday held a demonstration from Khomasdal where the suspect was allegedly murdered to Katutura Magistrate’s Court in a bid to demonstrate for the suspect not to be granted bail as they claim that he is a danger to the Khomasdal community.

The group was armed with a petition to that effect with more than 1 300 signatures.
