J-Black Secures We BET Ambassador Gig

Well-known rapper Jamee Uaendere, popularly known as J-Black, achieved a significant career milestone by being appointed as the We BET brand ambassador. We BET is a sports betting company set to launch soon, offering Namibians the opportunity to win substantial sums of money by placing bets on their favorite sports teams worldwide.
The “Omuzandu” hitmaker expressed that being chosen for this new role is immensely meaningful. “It means a company of such magnitude has chosen me to promote their brand, which is a big deal for me. It signifies that I’m recognized by the corporate world,” he said.
He elaborated on the benefits he will receive as the sports betting company’s ambassador. “Apart from additional income, it’s beneficial for artists to venture into other forms of business for sustainability. If artists can branch out into presenting, hosting, acting, and other areas, it will increase their chances of generating income outside of music, which is inherently not a long-term career and doesn’t guarantee financial stability,” said the rapper.
Having previously served as the brand ambassador for the pizza restaurant Panarottis and currently representing Klein Baas clothing, the rapper is experienced in such roles. According to him, this will contribute to We BET’s growth. “It helps significantly, to be fair. I already have a platform and an audience that consumes my content, so I’m not starting from scratch. The company can leverage that platform for exposure.”
With over a decade in the music industry, the rapper has cultivated a substantial social media following.
J-Black encouraged fellow artists and creatives aspiring to become brand ambassadors to confidently approach brands.
“My message is clear: approach brands and don’t hesitate to answer when brands approach you. It’s rewarding to contribute value outside of music, and it provides your brand with increased exposure and opportunities for growth, both personally and professionally.”
With hits like “No Place Like Home,” “Zak,” and “Swapo Colours,” J-Black has established himself as a prominent rapper in the country.
He has also performed at numerous events, including a memorable Namibia Annual Music Awards tribute to American rap legend Tupac Shakur.
