K5 Sports holds coaching clinic in Windhoek

KIANA (K)5 Sports CC which is solely focused on the development of hockey in Namibia and creating more opportunities for upcoming players, hosted its annual coaching clinic last Saturday, at Windhoek High School.

The coaching clinic is held every year in January in Windhoek, while a similar coaching clinic was held in Swakopmund a fortnight ago.

K5 Sports CC was established in 2013 by the father of national Indoor team female star, Kiana Cormack, who was the top goal scorer at the FIH Hockey Indoor World Cup in 2018 in Germany.

The coaching clinic in Windhoek attracted over 100 youth and was conducted national men’s team’s technical indoor hockey members who are set to participate at the FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup to be played in Pretoria South Africa next month.

Speaking to Confidente, one of the founding member of K5 Sports CC, Jerrica Cormack said K5 Sports coaching clinic is being held all over Africa, including South Africa and it is in its seventh year.
